Suntex Marinas yesterday announced the acquisition of Discovery Bay Marina in Discovery Bay, Calif., through its joint venture. Full-service Discovery Bay Marina is in the San Joaquin Delta.
“Discovery Bay is a stunning area with a lively community, and the marina is ideally situated to serve both visitors and residents,” Suntex senior vice president of operations Michael Warntjes said in a statement. “The Delta seamlessly connects the Sierra Nevada foothills with the San Francisco Bay, offering endless opportunities for fishing, water sports and boating adventures.”
The marina includes 266 wet slips and 450 dry-storage slips for boats from 20 to 100 feet, concrete docks, haul and launch capabilities, restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a restaurant, fuel dock, brokerage, a third-party boat club and rentals, trailer storage and other amenities.
The Suntex portfolio includes marinas in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
