Suntex Marina Investors announced its acquisition of Saguaro Lake Marina in Mesa, Ariz., marking its continued expansion in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The acquisition was made through a joint venture and adds to Suntex’s growing portfolio in the Southwest. The marina is now the company’s third facility within a two-hour radius of Phoenix.
Located on Saguaro Lake, the marina offers a wide range of amenities including wet slips in 24-, 30- and 40-foot sizes, covered slips and dry storage. Additional services include a fuel dock, pump-out station, ship store and an on-site service center staffed with certified mechanics. Visitors can also dine at the Saguaro Lake Grill, which overlooks the lake.
“This region has proven to be a magnet for tourists and locals alike who enjoy the outdoor activities provided by Saguaro Lake,” said Mike Warntjes, senior vice president of operations at Suntex Marinas, in a statement. “The marina is an established facility representing a fantastic opportunity for us to offer the guest-centered Suntex experience visitors have come to expect at our properties.”
