Williams Grand Prix Technologies announced this week that it will present the ES10M battery system to the superyacht segment for the first time at Metstrade in November. ES10M is a scalable, high-energy-density battery system with multiple uses for superyachts, support and explorer vessels, hybrid propulsion applications, and refit programs, the company stated in a press release.

“As the superyacht sector accelerates its focus on energy efficiency, we see a significant opportunity to bring proven battery systems expertise from elite motorsports into the industry,” Selin Tur, managing director and chief technology officer of Williams Grand Prix Technology, said in the release. “We’re delighted to be speaking at The Superyacht Forum and sharing lessons from Formula 1 on turning complex technologies into reliable and scalable solutions.”

The  ES10M’s modular architecture is suited to yachts larger than 100 meters, with multibank installations across dedicated battery spaces, while single-rack installations fit within the engineering spaces of yachts at 50 meters.

The release said that members of the Williams Grand Prix Technologies team will be at Metstrade to discuss the system.
