A 120-foot Benetti belonging to singer Marc Anthony caught fire Wednesday morning and capsized in a Miami marina. Andiamo was valued at $7 million, according to published reports.
No one was injured in the fire. The yacht was docked at the Island Gardens Marina on Watson Island in Miami.
Fire Rescue teams responded and worked to extinguish the flames before it could spread to other boats. A video shows multiple fire boats on-scene.
“Boat fires can quickly go from a small compartment fire into an unstoppable blaze in a matter of minutes because of the material found on board these vessels,” Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said in a statement.
The firefighters used an oil-absorbent to soak up oil on the surface of the water to minimize environmental damage, according to Miami-Dade.
