New Zealand-based Tectrax, a manufacturer of electric drive technology, announced a partnership with U.K.-based SBS Trailers. SBS will design and manufacture chassis frames engineered specifically to integrate Tectrax’s Boat-Launcher drive units. The deal marks Boat-Launcher’s entry in the U.K. and Irish markets.
“Boating should be all adventure and no hassle — that is the core of our effortless launching philosophy,” Tectrax CEO James Morton said in a statement. “The Boat-Launcher is a true embodiment of this and is set to remove the hassle of launching and landing boats, whether it is on a beach, boat ramp or in a yard. We are thrilled to partner with SBS Trailers.”
The electric Boat-Launcher system eliminates the need for a tow vehicle to launch or retrieve a boat, the statement said.
