The ABYC Foundation will host a free webinar Thursday, Feb. 24, at 12 p.m. (ET) as part of its new Marine Trades Accreditation Program for schools teaching marine service. The session will include a review of the program and address questions from administrators and teachers, as well as industry professionals interested in sharing news with their local schools.
The Marine Trades Accreditation Program aims to ensure quality training for high school and post-secondary students that is aligned with industry needs.
“There are jobs waiting for well-trained technicians from recognized schools,” ABYC Foundation executive director Margaret Podlich said in a statement. “The goal of MTAP is to help better connect the student to the boating industry and its needs through high-quality institutions. Businesses can support this effort by sharing resources available to their local schools, including this free informational webinar.”
