ProColombia, the Tourism Board of Colombia, is getting the word out about its safety protocols in its effort to reactivate tourism and receive travelers to the country.

The group is sending a presentation to media outlets that have covered the nation and its industry’s in the past. (Trade Only Today covered the 2014 Cartagena Boat Show.)

Travelers no longer need to present a Negative PCR Covid test to travel to or enter the country. Travelers are asked to fill out the information up to 24 hours prior to arriving.

As of Dec. 8, there are no quarantine requirements to travel to Colombia.

With the country’s culture — and coastlines on the Pacific and Atlantic oceans that have several major ports — Colombia is looking to continue development of its recreational boating industry. It has been working to remove barriers for recreational boaters.

Colombia is South America’s oldest democracy and third-largest economy, and has 31 ecosystems, 365 days of tropical climate, six snow-capped mountains, three deserts, 36 moorlands, three mountain ranges, two oceans, more than 3,800 kilometers of coastline, and more than 920,000 squared km of marine area.
