TopSide Marinas, a Texas-based company that buys and operates marinas, acquired Rock Creek Marina, a 188-acre facility on Perry Lake in Ozawkie, Kan. The full-service facility also offers storage, repairs and RV sites. Rock Creek Marina is TopSide’s sixth acquisition and first in Kansas.
“Acquiring Rock Creek Marina is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, due to the limited availability of marina operations on Perry Lake,” TopSide Marinas regional vice president Ryan Skiles said in a statement. “We are excited about providing more amenities for our marina members and their guests, as well as other visitors, with our expanded capabilities of providing more options for boat rentals than before.”
Rock Creek Marina has 495 wet slips, 35 dry slips and 36 RV sites, as well as short-term cabin rentals.
“Rock Creek Marina Investors has proudly owned and operated Rock Creek Marina for the past 20+ years. It has been an honor for my wife, Tuila, and I, to work hand in hand with our marina team to serve the members and guests at Rock Creek Marina for the past 10+ years,” said Allen Rumold, owner of Rock Creek Marina. “We believe that TopSide Marinas is the right ownership group to continue providing excellent customer service and investing back into the property going forward. We believe that the members and guests at Rock Creek Marina are in good hands with TopSide Marinas.”
Rock Creek is the second acquisition that TopSide Marinas made through its “finder’s fee” reward program. TopSide pays a $75,000 referral fee to those who connect the company with a marina owner.
