Electric propulsion manufacturer Torqeedo announced it promoted Tommi Salonen to vice president of sales for Europe, the Middle East, and the Africa and the Asia-Pacific regions.
Salonen, who joined Torqeedo in 2018, will be responsible for expanding retail sales in the new territory, as well as developing dealer and service networks. EMEA director of sales Matthias Schubert will report to Salonen.
“Torqeedo took a big step today in our continued efforts to promote from within as we grow and improve our sales organisation,” managing director Michael Rummel said in a statement. “These experienced leaders and their new teams will continue to excel while they improve the customer experience for our OEM and retail partner.”
In other news, Philip Goethe will establish a global business development division within Torqeedo.
