PHOTO COURTESTY ALLSALT MARITIMEUnited Safety, a manufacturer of safety and survival technology equipment, announced that it acquired Allsalt Maritime, best known for its Shoxs impact-mitigating seats.
Based in British Columbia, Allsalt was founded in 2007 and in 2019 introduced Kinetix shock-monitoring technology, which captures wave impacts and delivers real-time data for users. It’s used in military, commercial and recreational applications.
“Becoming part of the United Safety family will pave the way for Allsalt products to be fitted to a wider range of boat styles and console configurations in response to the explosive adoption of suspension seating technology in the recreational channel,” Allsalt CEO Ray Cao said in a statement.
United Safety has made several acquisitions in the last few years, and president and CEO Joseph Mirabile said acquiring Allsalt had been in consideration for about a decade.
