ValvTect said E15 fuel will not be sold at gasoline fuel pumps at ValvTect-certified marinas.

“Although E15 is not approved for use in marine engines at this time, it is possible it may work its way into the marine industry. To be certain there is no misunderstanding, the sale of E15 will be strictly prohibited at all certified ValvTect marinas at this time,” said Jerry Nessenson, president of ValvTect Petroleum, in a statement. “Violation of this policy will result in the marina being decertified as a certified ValvTect marina.”

All ValvTect marine gasoline sold at ValvTect-certified marinas is formulated with ValvTect Ethanol Gasoline Treatment. Boaters who fill their fuel tanks at land-based gas stations can buy the ethanol gasoline treatment in aftermarket containers at marine supply stores nationwide, the company said.
