Now in its 24th year, the International Boating and Water Safety Summit will be held as a virtual event on May 17-19 at 1 p.m.-4 p.m. (EST).
The theme of this year’s IBWSS will be “Partnerships for Progress” — how recreational boating and water safety communities collaborate to save lives around the world.
A lineup of guest speakers — including Elizabeth “Tizzy” Bennett, who co-leads the Life Jacket/PFD/Other Floatation Working Group for the United States National Water Safety Action Plan — will round out events that include live Q&As and training sessions, breakout rooms and more.
Boating and water safety outfits will display their wares at virtual booths, and attendees can talk directly with exhibitors.
In addition, the National Safe Boating Council, the event’s host, will offer continuing education opportunities to earn credentials such as Certified Recreational Boating Professional. Click here to learn more.
The IBWSS Communication Awards, highlighting outreach efforts of boating and water safety advocates, will be part of the summit.
