VoltSafe, manufacturer of magnetic-connection shore power systems, this week announced that it is partnering with Mostar Labs to develop mobile charging infrastructure for marine transportation systems.
The partnership will combine VoltSafe’s patented prongless, magnetic connectors with Mostar’s Adaptive Power Management System to build modular, grid-aware and mobile charging stations. The systems will serve electric boats, advanced marine operations and defense platforms.
“This memorandum of understanding sets out the framework for a strategic partnership to design and deliver revolutionary dual-use mobile charging infrastructure that meets the growing energy needs of electric boats, advanced marine systems and novel defense solutions,” VoltSafe co-founder and CEO Trevor Burgess said in a statement. “Partnerships like this allow VoltSafe to scale its technology faster and expand into high-value verticals like defense.”
The partnership includes a path to commercialization through potential licensing agreements, OEM integrations and co-branded solutions tailored for domestic and international markets.
“At Mostar Labs, we believe that the future of marine and defense electrification lies in intelligent, mobile infrastructure that adapts in real-time,” CEO Meiz Majdoub said in the statement. “Partnering with VoltSafe allows us to combine our dynamic power management with their groundbreaking connector and power management technology, setting the stage for safer, cleaner and more resilient energy delivery on water.”
