Technomarine Yachts was selected as the South Florida authorized independent sales representative as Wider Yachts USA seeks to grow its presence in this country.
Technomarine will represent Wider Yachts USA in Florida from St. Lucie to Miami-Dade counties with the exception of Broward County, where the home office of Wider is located. Wider Yachts was founded in 2010 by Italian Tilli Antonelli and has had a presence in the United States.
“Looking back on our experience representing other Italian yachts in the U.S. and the large dealer formats we had to endure, we decided to go forward with a small team that can stay connected with every Wider owner and provide an exceptional ownership experience,” Wider Yachts USA president Darren Datson said in a statement. “Our team is dedicated to promoting and representing the Wider brand in the U.S. market. We have the experience to stand behind and support the product.
“We are not a group of salesmen or enthusiasts wanting to sell some boats; we are industry professionals that have extensive experience in the entire process, from design and construction to warranty and customer service.”
Datson said the company will seek to grow the Wider brand in the United States with the support of the dealership. Negotiations are ongoing to further expand the coverage area for Wider Yachts USA as Technomarine continues its expansion.
“Wider Yachts is a very innovative company, which is very exciting for us since innovation is one of the cornerstone philosophies of Technomarine,” Technomarine Yachts president Dennis Close said. “They have a new 150 that will be launched in two weeks’ time and that is expected to be commissioned over the next few months, along with two other superyacht models, the 165-footer currently in production and a 125.”
The company also produces a custom 32 and 42 Express Cruiser.
Technomarine will represent Wider Yachts USA during the Nov. 5-9 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
