Marine industry startup promoter Yachting Ventures today announced that it will launch a dedicated Innovation Zone at the Dubai International Boat Show, which is scheduled for Feb. 19-23.
The Startup Zone will have an exhibition space, and exhibiting startups will receive full marketing support from Yachting Ventures.
“It’s clear that the [United Arab Emirates] region is fast becoming a global hub for the yachting industry,” Yachting Ventures founder Gabbi Richardson said in a statement. “Startups will play a crucial role in shaping its future, and by launching the Startup Zone, we aim to connect early-stage companies with investors, industry leaders and decision-makers who can help the startups we support scale in the UAE and broader Middle East region.”
The application process for exhibiting startups is open. Spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligible startups are defined as companies that have been operating commercially for less than five years and/or have an annual turnover of less than €1 million ($1.028 million).
