Yamaha Rightwaters sustainability program has teamed up with Mobile Baykeeper to protect and restore Alabama’s coastal watershed. The partnership supports Mobile Baykeeper’s initiatives to improve water quality and tackle pollution in the region, aligning with Yamaha’s conservation efforts.

“Partnering with Yamaha Rightwaters gives us reliable access to sensitive waterways and strengthens our restoration and scientific efforts,” Kayla Boyd, oyster project manager at Mobile Baykeeper, said in a statement.

To bolster these initiatives, Yamaha Rightwaters has delivered vital equipment, including a 30-horsepower tiller outboard and two 150-horsepower outboards. These outboards will power Mobile Baykeeper’s research vessels, enabling greater efficiency in tasks such as transporting oysters, conducting restoration work, and monitoring water quality.

“By providing reliable outboards, Yamaha Rightwaters helps expand access to sensitive waterways and advance critical restoration and research work,” Joshua Grier, sustainability program manager at Yamaha Rightwaters, said in the statement.

Founded in 1997 by concerned citizens, Mobile Baykeeper works to ensure that Alabama’s waterways remain accessible and unpolluted. The organization focuses on the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta, a region renowned for its biodiversity and vital marine habitats. This area serves not just wildlife but the local communities dependent on these waters.
