Marine Technician
Oyster Harbors Marine is looking for a skilled Marine Technician (Tradesman) to join our service team on Cape Cod. This role is built for someone who takes pride in their craft—whether your background is marine, automotive, diesel, or another mechanical trade.
You’ll work on premium boats and advanced systems, delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance, and rigging in a professional, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair engines and systems including Mercury Marine and Yamaha
- Perform routine service, commissioning, and seasonal work
- Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, cooling, and hydraulic systems
- Service onboard systems including Seakeeper and Dometic
- Rig and commission boats from brands including Regulator, Everglades, Mag Bay Yachts, Albemarle Boats, Viking Yachts, Valhalla Boatworks, and Princess Yachts
- Install accessories, electronics, and upgrades
- Keep work orders accurate and communicate clearly with the team
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and support yard operations as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience in a mechanical trade (marine preferred, but automotive, diesel, or similar backgrounds welcomed)
- Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail
- Familiarity with Mercury Marine and Yamaha is a plus
- Willingness to learn systems like Seakeeper and Dometic
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to work hands-on in a physically active environment
Training & Growth:
- Willing to train the right tradesman with strong mechanical aptitude

Marine Yard Operations Technician
Oyster Harbors Marine is seeking a dependable, hardworking Yard Worker to support daily yard operations and uphold the high standards of presentation and service our clients expect. This role is critical to delivering a seamless, premium boating experience by ensuring vessels, equipment, and the facility are maintained in a safe, organized, and client-ready condition at all times.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to grow within the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with hauling, launching, blocking, and moving vessels
- Support marina operations including dock assistance and boat staging
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, docks, and buildings
- Prepare boats for delivery, display, and service (washing, staging)
- Operate forklifts and other yard equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist service and sales teams with moving and preparing inventory
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and support service technicians as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience operating a travel lift or willingness to be trained
- CDL license or willingness to obtain (training or endorsement support available)
- Previous marine or marina experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working on and around boats, docks, and equipment

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
