PHOTO COURTESY BENETTI Italian superyacht builder Benetti announced that it named Massimiliano Casoni general manager. He reports directly to Azimut|Benetti CEO Marco Valle and will focus on new-product development and improving efficiency at Benetti’s Livorno and Viareggio yards in Italy.
“We are pleased to welcome Massimiliano Casoni to our team,” Valle said in a statement. “His expertise and experience working for world-class companies will prove extremely useful in generating added value for Benetti as the world’s leading superyacht builder.”
Casoni worked at automaker Ferrari from 2005 to 2015 as manufacturing director and Gran Turismo product development team leader before becoming production process director in 2012. Before joining Benetti, Casoni was chief operating officer at Technogym Group.
