Azimut Yachts is reporting a successful Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, with new contracts for 14 boats.

The Italian conglomerate did not specify which models had sold, only reiterating that it was among the 10 models spread across five of its collections that it had brought to the show, including the Magellano 25 Metri, which debuted at the show.
The company did confirm that 12 of the boats were for the U.S. market, with two going to Latin America.

Federico Ferrante, president of Azimut Benetti America, said that despite the hurdles faced in participating in this year’s show, it was important to exhibit and have confidence that Informa’s safety-first comprehensive AllSecure health standards would ensure a safe event.
“We were sure that the organizers would manage participants’ safety in the best way possible and we’re aware of the huge impact that this show has on the boat industry and everyone who depends on this sector, which is why we were determined to take part in this year’s FLIBS despite the huge uncertainties caused by the current situation. It could have been risky, but now we’re proud that we followed our instincts, which have proved to be right,” Ferrante said in a statement.
