Beneteau is bringing its Antares line of outboard pocket cruisers to the United States. The 21-, 23- and 27-footers are designed for lake and coastal cruising.
Powered by Mercury outboards, the boats have a tulip-shaped hull that deflects wakes and chop, Beneteau said in a statement. The Antares 21 takes up to a 150-hp engine, the 23-footer can be powered with a 250-hp outboard and the 27 can be rigged with up to twin 200s. Bow thrusters are one of the available options.
The boats provide all of the amenities for cruising in a compact package. Beneteau said the Antares line will be on display at the fall boat shows.
