Beneteau is celebrating its 130th birthday with a new headquarters.
In 1884, shipbuilder Benjamin Beneteau founded the Beneteau boatyard in the village of Croix-de-Vie to build trawlers for fishermen.
Today, 130 years later, the company continues as a major player in powerboat and sailboat manufacturing.
The new headquarters are in Vendée on the French Atlantic Coast. Consisting of two low-lying buildings linked by a gallery, the contemporary structure was designed by the Beneteau Group’s in-house engineers, Beri 21, together with French architects.
The main facade is made of glass and a perforated resin screen that uses light effects to create a seahorse, Beneteau’s emblematic logo.
The new headquarters staff, along with the design and engineering, sales, after-sales and marketing teams have moved to this site.
