PHOTO COURTESY BOATEKABoateka, Brunswick Corp.’s direct-to-consumer, preowned boat sales entity, opened a location outside Atlanta. The dealership will take over the former West Georgia Boat Center in LaGrange.
“West Georgia Boat Center presented a strategic opportunity for us to expand the Boateka brand and create a pathway to better serve a key boating market through our customer-focused platform,” Brenna Preisser, president, business acceleration, said in a statement. “With an established and talented team in the market, we are confident that Boateka will address a marketplace need, offering certified preowned boats with a warranty.”
Boateka was established in 2021 to provide an alternate way to purchase a preowned boat. The dealer refurbishes boats using a 100-point inspection process.
The Georgia Boateka location will have a mix of models from 17 brands, including Bayliner, Boston Whaler, Lund and Sea Ray. As part of the transition, all West Georgia Boat Center employees were retained.
