Brunswick launched an on-water training program for new and intermediate boaters. BoatClass will premiere at Marker 24 Marina in Merritt Island, Fla., before expanding to other locations, likely within Brunswick’s Freedom Boat Club network.
Led by a licensed captain, the initial two sessions include basic and intermediate level training, including docking.
“We are welcoming new boaters into our industry every day, and it is imperative that they have access to the best safety and boating education experience,” Bijoy Jha, Brunswick vice president of new business ventures, said in a statement.
“BoatClass provides an opportunity for new and seasoned boaters to receive world-class training and learn the necessary skills to make the most of their time on the water,” said Brenna Preisser, president of business acceleration and chief people and strategy officer.
