
Brunswick Corp. yesterday announced the recipients of its annual safety awards. The program recognizes facilities under the corporate umbrella that achieve exceptional safety and wellness performance.
All Brunswick manufacturing, engineering and distribution facilities worldwide qualify for the recognition, which is awarded in three categories: Safety Leadership Awards, Sustained Safety Performance Awards and Distinguished Safety Awards. The company is recognizing four facilities with the Safety Leadership Award for 2023 performance, and each location receives $10,000 to donate to a local charity.
“At Brunswick, safety is the most important element embedded in our company culture and our day-to-day actions.,” CEO David Foulkes said in a statement. “We believe that eliminating hazards and risks is the most effective control measure for safety, which is why we continue to invest in industry-leading safety processes to ensure our employees conduct their jobs safely and feel safe while working.”
The four facilities earning the Safety Leadership Award are:
• Merritt Island, Fla. (Brunswick Boats Integrated Manufacturing Center)
• Fond du Lac, Wis. (Mercury Marine Plant 4)
• Bangor, Northern Ireland (Whale Marine, Navico Group)
• Lake Suzy, Fla. (Land N’ Sea Distribution Center)
Additionally, 12 facilities earned the Sustained Safety Performance Award, an honor recognizing operations that consistently rank among the highest over multiple years. Each of these facilities receives $1,500 to donate to a local charity.

Sixty Brunswick facilities, not including 99 Freedom Clubs, incurred no lost-time incidents in 2023. The Safety Leadership Award recipients are selected by Brunswick senior management.
