Brunswick Corp. reported record sales after the close of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this past weekend.

Its Sea Ray brand reported a 33 percent increase in revenue compared with the 2021 show and a 17 percent increase in overall units sold.

“Fort Lauderdale is the unofficial kick-off to the U.S. fall boat-show calendar and serves as a barometer for our brands to gauge dealer sentiment, consumer interest and product trends,” Brunswick CEO David Foulkes said in a statement. “Brunswick had an incredible show, setting multiple records and gaining market share, which is a testament to the power of our brands.”

Boston Whaler and Bayliner reported strong sales, and Whaler displayed a recyclable fiberglass boat that’s built with Arkema’s Elium liquid thermoplastic resin. Navico Group notched a 20 percent increase in the electronics market, according to Brunswick.

Brunswick said in the statement that Mercury Marine accounted for more than half of the outboards at the show, including 70 percent of the outboards in the on-water portion of FLIBS.

“Mercury continues to gain share in one of the most important saltwater markets in the world,” Foulkes said.
