PHOTO COURTESY CHRIS-CRAFTChris-Craft opened a new manufacturing facility in Sarasota, Fla., that will increase production capacity 50%. The Winnebago Industries subsidiary will build six models from 24 to 28 feet in the 70,000-square-foot building.
“The new building marks an important milestone in the growth of our community, and the enhanced production capacity this new building provides will help our dealer network meet demand for our products,” company president Steve Hease said in a statement.
Chris-Craft expects to add more than 200 jobs to its workforce.
“The team at Chris-Craft builds some of the finest boats in the world, and I thank them for their effort to bring this facility from vision to reality,” Winnebago CEO Michael Happe said in the statement.
