
Correct Craft announced yesterday the retirement of board chair Ken Meloon after 64 years with the company. Starting as a boat washer in 1960, Meloon eventually became board chairman, continuing the legacy started by his father and grandfather, the company said in a statement.
“Ken Meloon’s impact on Correct Craft is hard to overstate,” CEO Bill Yeargin said in the statement. “His dedication, vision and integrity have helped guide our company for decades. We are deeply grateful for all he has done and the example he has set for future generations.”
Orlando, Fla.-based Correct Craft marks its 100th anniversary in 2025. Its boat brands include Nautique, Centurion, Supreme, Bass Cat, Yar-Craft, SeaArk, Parker and Ingenity, in addition to Pleasurecraft Engine Group, Indmar Marine Engines, Velvet Drive Transmissions, Mach Connections, Merritt Precision, Osmosis, Watershed Innovation and Aktion Parks.
