Ferretti Yachts said it will participate in the 2016 edition of Nautic, or Salon Nautique de Paris, which runs Dec. 3-11.

Ferretti said it will display its new 450, a flybridge model that puts the brand into the 40- to 50-foot market, with the support of French dealer ABYS Yachting.

The Italian builder said the 450 is the result of a collaboration among the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee, Studio Zuccon International Project — for the design of the exterior and the interior layout — and the engineering department, which handled the technical and naval design and the interior design.

The Ferretti Yachts 450 was nominated for the Nautic Design Awards, the competition organized by the trade exhibition in cooperation with the French nautical magazines Moteur Boat and Neptune. Winners of the best design for boats in the day boat and cruiser categories will be announced Dec. 9.

“The Salon Nautique de Paris is a very important event because it allows us to meet fans from all over central and northern France, the Paris district and neighboring countries on the North Sea,” Ferretti Group chief commercial officer Stefano de Vivo said in a statement.

“We are very happy to participate, together with our dealer ABYS Yachting, to present the new Ferretti Yachts 450 just two months after the Cannes Yachting Festival,” de Vivo said.

“In a European market that is returning to attractive levels it is important for the group and Ferretti Yachts to return to Paris with a model on which we will focus a lot. The Ferretti Yachts 450 meets the demands of a wide international audience, from beginners with our 45-footer starting on their journey into the wonderful world of yachting to the most mature owners who, after some years of waiting, want to return to live onboard the protagonist of the sea.”

Ferretti said it also will display the 450 at Boot 2017, which is set for Jan. 21-29 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
