GB Marine Group named Capt. Simon Davidson New England operations manager. He will provide sales and customer support for the group’s three brands — Grand Banks, Eastbay and Palm Beach — in New England and will be based in Newport, R.I.
“Three decades as a professional captain and project manager teaches you a lot of things,” Davidson said in a statement. “How to manage people, how to push when needed and coast when the time is right, but most importantly, to always keep the owners’ best interests at the core of what you do.”
Davidson’s role will include guiding and supporting operations staff in New England and integrating with the group’s service facility in Stuart, Fla.
“This business truly is about the people and teamwork,” group CEO Mark Richards said in the statement. “We continue to build a very knowledgeable group who are passionate about boats. … This is a key element to absolutely ensure our customers have an experience of a lifetime.”
