Groupe Beneteau had revenues of $1.93 billion in 2023, which was an 18.3% increase over the $1.59 billion the company reported in 2022. Income from operational revenues was $267.2 million in 2023, which was a 59.2% increase over the previous year. EBITDA was up 33.6% and group share net income from operations was $197.1 million, an 81.4% jump over 2022.
“2023 was a record year for Groupe Beneteau,” Groupe Beneteau chief executive officer Bruno Thivoyon said in a statement. “The group’s 8,000 staff achieved an outstanding collective performance income from ordinary operations of over $260 million with a double-digit net margin. Our value-driven growth strategy is delivering a range of benefits; it is further strengthening the group’s resilience and enabling it to position the Group’s operational profitability within a range that is significantly higher than its pre-Covid levels.”
Boat division revenues were $1.59 billion, up 17.1% from the prior year. A slowdown in demand for powerboats (down $162.9 million) was offset by a growth strategy for the overall group that generated $206.4 million and $43.45 million in sailboat deliveries. The sailboat business was up 31% for the full year with 68% of those sales in the charter realm.
Looking ahead, Groupe Beneteau is estimating the boat division to maintain an ordinary operating margin of 7% to 10% in 2024.
