HanseYachts has appointed Boris Heitmann vice president of communications and investor relations.
Most recently an independent communications consultant, Heitmann has experience in government affairs and media relations at companies that include Esso and Reemtsma Cigarettenfabriken, HanseYachts said in a statement.
Hanse CEO Hanjo Runde called Heitmann an “experienced and entrepreneurial communications professional” and noted his background as a yachtsman.
“With this step, we are continuing the further professionalization of our external appearance in order to further expand HanseYachts’ strong position on the world market in terms of communication, as well,” Runde said. “The fact that Boris Heitmann is also a passionate sailor in addition to his professional qualifications underlines his fit with his task all the more.”
