Buelow, who previously was vice president of global operations with Mercury, reports to Brunswick CEO David M. Foulkes. He succeeds Chris Drees, who is pursuing opportunities outside the marine industry, Brunswick said in a statement.

Buelow joined Mercury Marine in 2004 and has held various positions in finance, including vice president and CFO of Brunswick Marine in EMEA and Asia-Pacific. From 2010 to 2013, he held leadership roles at Mercury’s global headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wis.
Among his duties as head of global operations, Buelow helped plan and execute enhancements to Mercury’s manufacturing facilities and the launch of the 600-hp V-12 Verado and V-10 Verado outboards, as well as the Avator electric line of motors.
