Brunswick Corp. plans to launch the first commercial model in Mercury Marine’s Avator 48-volt electric outboard series this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The company will also highlight Navico Group’s lithium-ion Fathom e-power system, which is designed to replace conventional generators.

“CES is a platform that stretches well beyond our industry, and we will take full advantage of the opportunity to showcase to the global audience our unique capabilities as we continue to develop the most advanced technologies in the marine industry,” Brunswick CEO David Foulkes said in a statement.

Brunswick said it also will unveil its newest boat brand designed to accommodate the Avator outboard, and will demonstrate its latest connectivity solutions through an interactive, 140-degree helm experience in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Brunswick will also display the Sea Ray Sundancer 370 Outboard powered by 600-hp, V-12 Mercury Verado outboards. The engine won a CES innovation award.

The Consumer Electronics Show runs Jan. 5-8.
