Dennis Wilson has been named national sales manager of Meeco Sullivan. “We are very pleased to have a leader of Dennis’ caliber join our management team and excited about the diverse sales and marketing expertise he will bring to our growing organization,” said Peter Ladouceur, president of Meeco Sullivan, in a statement. Wilson’s background includes 23 years working of with Fortune 500 companies, including positions of director of worldwide sales and vice president of sales and marketing. “His background includes expertise in the technical industrial, engineered products and capital equipment business sectors among others and he has a solid reputation as a ‘growth specialist’ who drives sales initiatives and pioneers successful marketing campaigns,” said Ladouceur. “Plus, he has created and delivered sales management training programs, product training seminars, and channel management and development programs.

Siren announces managerial promotions

Siren Marine has made two promotions. The Newport, Rhode Island-based manufacturer of telematics equipment said in a statement that Sam Handy is now director of marketing. Handy joined Siren Marine in February 2017 as marketing coordinator, and took on responsibilities as the company launched its Siren MTC (Monitor|Track|Control) system and Siren Marine app. He previously worked for the Rhode Island Marine Trades Association as marketing coordinator. Handy is on the steering committee of RIMTA Future, an under-40 young professionals group aimed at promoting professional development within the marine industry.

Steven Napoli was promoted to Siren Marine’s supply chain/fulfillment manager. Napoli joined Siren in 2017, working in a technical support role while also assisting with general customer service, sales and inquiries. His new position addresses Siren’s need for managing the supply chain and ordering processes during a period of rapid growth. Napoli graduated in 2008 from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a major in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. He worked for seven years at the Red Cross and later at the Harvard School of Public Health.

The statement said that both Napoli and Handy are Rhode Island natives with a life-long passion for sailing, fishing and boating. “Sam and Steve are valued members of our Siren Marine family, and have played pivotal roles in getting us to where we are today,” said Siren Marine CEO and Founder Daniel Harper in the statement. “With their expertise and energy, I’m confident we can meet our goal of making every boat a connected boat in the near future.”
