Construction of the Otam 35, the first yacht in the builder’s semidisplacement aluminum custom range, is in its final stages.
The builder said the SD35 is on track to debut at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show. The three-deck, 115-foot yacht is being custom-built for an experienced Italian owner.
Otam said the hull and superstructure are finished, propulsion systems and generators have been installed and the interior is nearly completed. With Otam’s hull No. 1 in the Custom Range — m/y Gipsy — the client was adamant that the layout reflect his personal approach to life at sea.
The main deck includes a nearly 130-square-foot main salon, with a movie theater and a full-beam dining area forward. The main deck also hosts the service areas, with a fully furnished galley and an 82-square-foot pantry with separate access for the crew.
