Riva Yacht unveiled its new 100’ Corsaro flybridge yacht in Monaco during the annual Formula One car race held in that country.
It was the official European debut for the boat, which previously was introduced in Hong Kong in April.
Riva is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, and the new 100’ Corsaro has the classic Riva lines that yachting enthusiasts have come to expect. The boat is the result of a joint effort between Ferretti’s Product Strategy Committee, which is guided by Piero Ferrari, and Officina Italiana Design, the studio founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta.
“The audience at the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo, the most famous coastal location in the Formula One World Championship, was completely taken with the majestic elegance of the new Riva 100’ Corsaro,” Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi said in a statement. “The presentation of this incredible, innovative yacht was an event in the event.”
Additionally, Riva sponsored the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One, and its drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen, who finished first and second in the race, which took place on May 28. The sponsorship will continue through the 2017 season.
“We are ardent to see Riva with Ferrari, the most famous Italian brand, in the 2017 Formula One World Championships,” Galassi said in a statement. “The extraordinary combination of two absolute icons, Riva and Ferrari, together celebrated the victory of the 75th edition of the Monaco Grand Prix, renewing a connection between manufacturers that has no equal in terms of history, popularity and ability to perpetuate its supremacy.”
