The Sanlorenzo Group announced that it purchased 60% of Finnish sailboat builder Nautor Swan. The company said it plans to complete the full acquisition by the end of April 2028.

Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.

“During the past months, together with Leonardo Ferragamo, who’s been able to transform a yard and its boats into an iconic and international brand, and Nautor Swan management, [we developed] a solid industrial plan, in terms of product development and synergies related to production, technologies, commercial and economies of scale,” Sanlorenzo president and CEO Massimo Perotti said in a statement.

Perotti called Nautor Swan an “ultra-exclusive niche brand,” adding that the company’s philosophy aligns with Sanlorenzo’s. Nautor Swan’s Boatbuilding Technology Centre in Pietarsaari, Finland, will remain the production facility.

“I have dedicated 26 years, together with a skilled and professional team, to developing and transforming this already famous and iconic shipyard into an international brand recognized for quality, elegance and reliability, the key elements at Nautor Swan’s core,” said Ferragamo, the president of Nautor Group.
