Southport Boats, of Augusta, Maine, is partnering with DiMillo’s Yacht Sales to carry its brands at the dealer’s four Northeastern locations.
DiMillo’s has three locations in Maine — Portland, Freeport and Belfast — and a fourth in Glen Cove, N.Y.
The DiMillo’s group is partnering with current Southport dealer Navtronics Marine Group, headed by Tim Greer. Greer has been Southport’s top-performing dealer for two years in a row.
DiMillo’s also represents Maine builders Sabre and Back Cove Yachts and is a supporter of the Maine boatbuilding community.
“It is absolutely fantastic to sign on such a strong dealer, and one who bases their brand here in Maine, where Southport is built,” Southport Boats managing director Skip Robinson said in a statement. “Chris and Tim understand the importance of the Maine boatbuilding tradition and are going to be a major factor in our continued success in Maine and now in New York.”
“After sea trialing the Southport 33FE, I knew DiMillo’s had to be involved with this product,” Chris DiMillo said. “The Hunt hull design, combined with Southport’s focus on stability, creates a ride that is beyond impressive. We pride ourselves in representing only the highest-quality product, and Southport is a perfect fit.”
