An entity associated with Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group has sold its interest in Sunseeker Yachts to Lionheart Capital, according to reporting from Bloomberg. Trade Only Today reported in 2013 that Dalian Wanda acquired a 91.91% stake in Sunseeker.
The two companies have signed a sales and purchase agreement, though Bloomberg’s sources asked not to be identified due to the confidential nature of the disclosure. Bloomberg is reporting that the transaction, subject to British regulatory approval, is scheduled to close as early as next month.
Miami-based Lionheart is led by founder and CEO Ophir Sternberg, and has invested in such businesses such as restaurants, technology companies and real estate, according to a Bloomberg profile.
Trade Only Today reached out to Sunseeker representatives in the U.S. and United Kingdom but they declined to comment on the transaction.
