Wellcraft this week launched its newest model, the 355, which marks a departure from the builder’s lineup of center console fishing boats.
Designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design, the 355 is being marketed as a performance-oriented boat suitable for inshore and offshore cruising.
“There is a new breed of enthusiastic performance boaters. They want to see the world from a different perspective,” brand director Nick Harvey said in a statement. “Instead of gazing at the sea from shore, they shove off and never look back.”
The boat is available with triple Mercury or Yamaha outboards to 1,050 hp. Top speed, according to Wellcraft, is more than 50 knots.
The 355 has a full galley and a cabin with an en-suite head and separate shower.
Wellcraft is a part of Groupe Beneteau.
