PHOTO COURTESY LITHIONICSWinnebago Industries, parent company of Chris-Craft and Barletta, yesterday announced that it reached an agreement to acquire Lithionics Battery. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
According to a statement, Lithionics is a Clearwater, Fla.-based provider of lithium-ion batteries and “house power” systems for a variety of markets, including RV, marine and specialty low-speed vehicles, as well as industrial applications.
“The addition of Lithionics enhances Winnebago Industries’ ability to develop unique and diverse battery solutions across our portfolio, advancing our overall electrical ecosystem, driving organic growth and supply-chain security, reinforcing our technological competitive advantage, and allowing us to capitalize on consumer preferences for fully immersive, off-the-grid outdoor experiences,” Winnebago president and CEO Michael Happe said in the statement.
Lithionics founder and CEO Steve Tartaglia and its leadership team will continue to lead the business in the same capacities. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter.
