
World Cat is marking its 25th anniversary with the 2023 model year.
The power cat builder started business in 1998 with three models and 19 employees. Today, the company has 350 employees at two facilities in North Carolina and builds 13 models from 23 to 40 feet.
“We are immensely proud of all that World Cat has done over its 25-year history,” company president Andrew Brown said in a statement. “With a lot of hard work and dedication, we have become one of the top-selling power catamaran manufacturers on the market.”
In other news, World Cat added nine dealers to its network.
World Cat enters the Midwest region with Skipper Buds in Harrison Township and Grand Haven Mich., as well as Sturgeon Bay Wis. World Cat also partnered with Texas Marine in Beaumont, Seabrook and Conroe.
In the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, World Cat added Island Yacht Management and Sales in Lindenhurst, N.Y., Norfolk Marine in Norfolk, Va., and Stone Harbor Marine in Stone Harbor, N.J.
“These are key industry leaders, and each has had many years of success delivering best-in-class sales and service experiences in their markets,” Chad Armstrong, vice president of sales and marketing, said in a separate statement. “We are very proud to have them representing World Cat.”
