Dutch builder Zeelander Yachts said it has expanded with a new shipyard in Groot-Ammers.
The facility is more than 21,500 square feet and is located along 215,000 square feet of waterfront property. Zeelander said it has built four Zeelander Z55s at the new plant.
“We had an amazing year filled with events, premieres, awards and, most importantly, sales,” said Zeelander Yachts commercial director Leonardo van den Berg in a statement.
Zeelander reported a 40 percent increase in sales and a “healthy” order book for 2018.
“At this point, the U.S.A. is still our biggest market. However, we are very active in Europe, too, with a focus on the French Côte d’Azur, and we had strong results at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September,” van den Berg said.
