Propspeed announced yesterday the appointment of Jim Bandy as vice president of sales and operations for the Americas. Bandy will be responsible for leading the Propspeed sales team and increasing market share in the commercial marine sector, a company statement said.
“Jim brings a powerful combination of experience, capability and passion that aligns strongly with our business culture, strategy and vision,” CEO Marcus Hamilton said in the statement. “This is a key investment in empowering our people and partners to achieve even greater success with Jim’s leadership.”
Bandy has more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry, most recently as director of business development for New Zealand-based McKay. He previously spent four years with Raymarine/FLIR, three years at Navico, and 20 years as a sales representative and territory manager for West Marine.
