David Walters stepped aside and will serve as a consultant to the new owners of David Walters Yachts, the company he built.
Attendance was up across five weekend boat shows last weekend with two of them reporting double-digit gains.
The show’s dates this year — Jan. 25-29 — helped draw throngs to the Javits Center in Manhattan.
The 112th annual New York Boat Show opens Wednesday and runs through Sunday at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
The Coast Guard Foundation said its annual 2016 salute to the Coast Guard will take place Thursday at the Marriott Marquis in New York.
