BRP yesterday announced the sale of its Telwater brand to Yamaha Motor Australia. The transaction follows BRP’s decision last fall to divest marine assets to focus on its powersports business.
BRP’s sale of Alumacraft was also announced this week.
“We are pleased with today’s announcement, our first transaction in the process for the sale of our marine businesses,” BRP CEO José Boisjoli said in statement. “I would like to sincerely thank all of the talented employees for their contribution and commitment over the years.”
Telwater is one of Australia’s oldest boatbuilders whose brands include Quintrex, Stacer and Savage.
