Carling Technologies said it completed the consolidation of Maretron into the Carling Technologies portfolio. Terms were not disclosed.

The companies said in a statement that the consolidation “builds on a relationship originated in January 2007 under a multiphased strategic and equity investment agreement between Carling and Maretron.”

Maretron is being moved from Phoenix to a Carling facility in Jupiter, Fla.

Carling vice president Rick Sorenson Jr. said Maretron “will benefit from an aggressive investment in technology and customer service to support the continued development of leading-edge products and solutions.”

Maretron co-founder Frank Emnett will continue to lead new-product engineering and development of Maretron products as vice president, engineering, control and monitoring systems.

“Carling adds valuable engineering resources and expands our product portfolio to include digital switching and enhanced vessel control functions,” said Kip Wasilewski, director of sales for Maretron, in the statement. “Carling’s vast experience in the transportation industry will positively impact our strategy to bring core technology to the marine market.”
