CMC Marine will introduce three electric stabilizing systems at the Sept. 12-17 Cannes Yachting Festival.

The new products are an outgrowth of the experience CMC gained with its Stabilis Electra System, the Pisa, Italy-based company said in a statement.

The three electric stabilizing systems are designed to extend the range of installation possibilities, CMC said. The SR Short Range system has been developed to utilize electric stabilizing technology on boats less than 65.6 feet long and the HS High Speed and LR Long Range models have been designed respectively for planing yachts with speeds of more than 27.6 mph and for displacement or semidisplacement hulls.

CMC said the stabilizers draw on latest-generation technology to deliver better performance with weight reduction, low energy consumption and simpler installation.

The HS High Speed and LR Long Range systems also offer the possibility of integrating and controlling different support surfaces (rudder or intruder) with the stabilizing fins.

The profile of the blades has also been upgraded, and they are available in a range of sizes up to 16.4 square feet.
