Vetus, the Netherlands-based developer and manufacturer of engines, generators, bow thrusters, control panels, exhaust systems and more, said this past March was its best sales month in the company’s 57-year history.

Following a strong 2020 — its best since 2007 — Vetus also announced it had promoted longtime employee Ray Browning to branch manager of the U.K. office.

Chief executive officer Marcel Borsboom said full order books for the Vetus line of products expand well beyond the European market.

“We have seen enormous demand in many areas of the world, and we are doing our utmost to get the shipments out of the door in time,” Borsboom said. “Contributing to this record sales growth, the direct model implemented by Vetus to open offices in many relevant boating markets is clearly proving successful. We now have a presence of our own staff in all continents, reaching from New Zealand to Finland and from Taiwan to South Africa.”

Browning, who has been with Vetus since 1989, cited the growth in new and returning customers.

“As more people discover boating and get out on the water in this country, it is our job to make sure our customers can trust us to supply them with the whole range of Vetus solutions and systems so they can maximize life on board and access support when needed,” he said.
