With production of the CXO300 diesel outboard to commence this year, Cox Powertrain announced management appointments to strengthen its technical leadership team ahead of production.
The company named Alex Degnan head of quality and Stephen Moore technical director. The appointments are part of a recruitment program that has established a team to oversee engineering, production and quality control.
Degnan has 14 years of experience as a quality manager and improvement specialist. He has worked in the automotive, defense and aerospace sectors, and most recently was senior quality engineer at Ricardo, where he was a member of the team overseeing production of McLaren Automotive supercar engines.
Moore also worked at Ricardo, for nearly 30 years, where he held several senior management positions, including managing cross-functional teams and leading engine design and development programs.
“Going into this exciting next stage of Cox’s development, we have ensured that we have the best possible team in place to guarantee the smooth operation of our assembly line and the highest quality of production,” said Cox Powertrain CEO Tim Routsis in a statement. “Stephen and Alex join an exceptional team of highly experienced specialists who have been instrumental in bringing the world’s highest-powered diesel outboard to market.”
